In early April we will be sending out 250+ College Care Packages to young adults who grew up in foster care and who are continuing their education beyond high school. Each care package will be filled with study snacks, hygiene and school supplies, and gift cards and shipped off to the recipient.

How can I help? Now through 3/26 we’re accepting donations of snacks, gift cards and other dorm goodies to add to the each package. The full list of items we need is here or you can shop our Amazon Wish List and items get sent right to us. Consider holding a drive with your friends or community group or organize a collection at your workplace. Email us to arrange a drop-off or pick-up. Monetary donations are also always needed. I know someone who could use a care package! Young adults are eligible to receive a College Care Package if they:
- Obtained high school diploma or equivalent, and
- Spent time in foster care as a youth, and
- Are still engaged with services through the Massachusetts DCF (aka signed a VPA), and
- Are currently furthering their education in any way (vocation training, or a 2- or 4-year college).
